Characteristics of shotcrete
Shotcrete is a fast-setting concrete used to strengthen and protect structures or rock surfaces. This technology uses uses shotcrete machine, compressed air or other power to inject cement, sand, stones and admixtures in a certain ratio onto the surface to be sprayed through the nozzle, and the concrete reinforcement material is formed by setting and hardening within a few minutes.
Shotcrete is compacted by the repeated continuous impact of cement and aggregate when sprayed at high speed, and at the same time, it can adopt a small water-cement ratio, so it has high mechanical strength and good durability. Especially with concrete, masonry, and steel, it has high bond strength, and can transmit tensile stress and shear stress on the joint surface. The spraying method can also add quick-setting agent to the mixture to make the cement final set within 10 minutes, so that the concrete can gain strength immediately after spraying. The spraying method can combine the transportation, pouring and tamping of concrete into one process. Thin-walled or complex-shaped structures can be formed in any direction at high altitudes, deep pits or narrow working areas through the conveying hose. The process is simple, flexible and has wide adaptability.
