A Little essay about my Buddhism

I continue to write about my essay.

" What is the Buddha?"

This is the question of questions  that all Buddhists ask.

Is the Buddha the  absolute one ?

 Is the Buddha almighty?

The Buddha has all knowledges and and all abilities, hasnt the one ?

Maybe not, Buddhists don't think so.

Each life of everybody is due to the Buddha?  We don't  think so.

The happy or the unlucky is caused by the Buddha's will ?  We don't think so.

The one thing that we can do is " believing "  ?   We don't think so.

Buddhism doesn't advise a person to believe the One simply ,   but  Buddhism request a person to practice of Buddhism.  Practice isn't a rehearsal ,  it means the course of metamorphosis (変身) into a Buddha.

But to tell the truth ,  I think that this theme---namely ,  " what is the Buddha ?"  --doesn't need among Buddhism .

During the history of Buddhism ,  Buddhists hasn't held a debate on the absolute one ,  so we don't  worship the idol of Buddha as an icon .

Buddha is the goal of our practice .

Am I an atheist ?  Maybe so .

But I am an Buddhist .

 The word " atheism " means that a god doesn't exist .

Still more ,  it is complicated on Kanji ( 漢字) character ,  神(かみ 、god )  is used various religious scenes .

The absolute god like Christianity or Islam ,  that usages are well known .   And many gods and godess ,  they are talked in myths .

Buddhism has many gods and godess by those usages .

Japanere Shinto-ism has many gods and godess .

But ,  in the Buddhists'  texts ,  that Kanji " 神” was used about " mind "  ,  " heart " .   Namely it is " 精神” (せいしん ,  mind )  from ancient philosophical texts of Buddhism .

   When a Buddhist says ,

" There isn't a god ".

She [ or He ]  stands on the inner Samadhi of  practical way with Prajna ( wisdom ) ,  so there isn't neither ego nor a god .  Her[or His ]  viewpoint is begun from no-ego (無我).

Because ordinary speaking about atheism ,  a person is exist but a god isn't exist.

Well,  I will talk about a mind.

Supposing there is a mind prior to experiences of us ontologicaly,  but Nagarjna objected against that a mind was an anything of solid substance.

We usually feel happy or unlucky,  we get pleasure or pain.

Are those various feelings catched by body or mind?

  Sometimes we say,

" I feel in the mind."

  And we say,

" I think in the brain."

Where is a mind exist?  In a brain of the head?

  When we want to tell a mind ( 心、kokoro) , we use " heart " ( ハート、Katakana of Japanese ).

A heart means a mind, although it is one of physical organs of the body.  We indicate leftside of the breast by finger. We never indicate the head as the mind.

We don't think that the funcion of the mind works only from the brain. We know that the mind will be energetic active with both the body and the mind.

Nagarjna didn't think that the mind preceded the body.

Buddhism didn't assume another immanent soul ( like psyche ) except the body what took sensation.  In this case,  the body is called the person (  人、”nin " in Buddhisn),  namely it is called the subject also.  On the other, the object is called external world ( 法、" hou" in Buddhism ).

And there isn' t a mind as that object thing.

So there aren't stubborn mind of psychoses.

If a person is depressed by a sorrow,  she [ he ]  will become aberant.

After that,  it depend on her [ his ] conception of the world,  and her [ his ]  conception of life.

Religions, and Buddhism is one of those answers.

About women, are Japanese women delicate and sensitive?

Universally women has sensitivities,  we know.  If women's artistic sensitivities are made the vest use of talent,  our world will be beautiful, I believe.

The year before last, we got 3.11's deep sorrow of Tsunami.

We,  all Japanese, and friends of the world pray to regain themselves from sorrows.

Japanese beautiful sights with harmonious nature ,  and with modern tastes of advanced technologies, will be reconstructed by our efforts.

I hope that Japanese women also will show our corragious hard-working nationality.

In the future we want to maintain our beautiful mother country.

Now,  I think about " the mind " , and sorrows of sufferings will disappear by Buddhists' fantastic talking at least.

If the mind is clear, pure, like as clouds being swept away, our acts will be strong without doubts.

continuing

Futher, one more strict question hides behind the discussion about the mind.

When the mind is defined as no-ego, the opposite will say that the identitites of humane beings is denied or not.

If a person doesn't have the ego, her[ his ]  characteristic personality won't be accepted by family or friends  If a person is no-ego,  the defferenciation between Taro or Hanako will not found by perple.  If a person is no-ego,  the opite will say that experiences are denied.

  But we, Buddhists say,

"We hold the individual in respect".

Buddha Sakyamini awakened the realities of life.  Buddha was fair to everybody and everything.

The opposite out of Buddha had assumed hypothetical Atman ( アートマン) instead of ego.

Of course Nagarjna denied Atman as the subject of experiences.

The posterity of the Buddha used the unconsciousness, so it was said as no-ego.
